Highly Permeable Separation Textile / Terram Membrane

A filtration and stabilising membrane suitable for a variety of applications including SuDS ( Sustainable Drainage Systems), shed bases, pathways & parking areas and French drains.

This membrane, our version of Terram, is ideal as a filtration layer, preventing soil and debris from clogging pipes or drains whilst allowing water to pass through freely. It also acts a separation layer, keeping soil particles in place and preventing it mixing with the surface layer, while providing a strong, stable foundation when used beneath gravel.

Key Functions & Uses

Separation: Stops angular stones and building aggregates from sinking into soft sub-grades or subsoils.

Filtration: Allows water to drain freely through the fabric while blocking fine soil particles.

Stabilisation: Evenly distributes loads under driveways, paths, patios, and parking areas.

Drainage: Acts as a trench liner for French drains or for wrapping soakaway crates and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).

Weed Control: Provides a durable, permeable layer to deter weed growth beneath decorative gravel or paving.

It is strong enough to withstand the weight of vehicles, whilst enabling effective drainage preventing pooling of water, making it idea for parking areas.

Tensile strength of 6.5 kN/m and CBR puncture resistance 1100 N

A similar stabilising membrane is also available in 4.5m x 100m roll or by the linear metre.
